| Local ABATE Chapter #21
Revitalized!
After a year of inactive status, ABATE 21 has been re-activated and is active! Headed by newly elected chapter president, Wayne Webb, the chapter has had several events and is looking forward to more activities and RIDES! Webb was instrumental in re-activating the chapter through his vigorous recruitment of new members and renewal of previous members. One of the first activities was a fish fry to recruit members. Recent activities include a very successful Toy for Tots campaign partnering with local businesses, the fire department, Wild Hog Riders and marines to collect over 3,000 toys and cash donations. A frigid ride in the Christmas parade followed by a Christmas party finished out 2006. ABATE 21 officially meets the first Wednesday each month at 7:30pm at the Queen of Clubs in West Helena. Preceding each meeting Wayne has a nice meal cooked up for everyone attending to enjoy. The group also gets together every Wednesday at the Queen of Clubs to eat and have its "unofficial" meetings. ABATE is a non-profit State Motorcyclist Rights organization with nationwide membership. Its mission is to preserve the freedom of the road by creating a brotherhood of motorcyclists united to promote safety, fair legislation, and education of both the rider and the public. As a regional district, we represent the central delta area of Arkansas. Click on the links below
